What a week. The Saturn-Uranus opposition at 0 degrees will affect everyone born in the first day or two of their sign, but particularly the cardinals: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. The domino effect this clash produces will reverberate around the world on, or very close to, July 26th as big headlines emerge. Anyone attempting a revolution near July 26th is going to be stopped – hard – and it’s a difficult time to be a young radical. A major configuration this week is the Mercury-Chiron opposition at 29 degrees on July 27. On, or very close to, July 27 both the New York Stock Exchange and the internet itself (which have chart factors at 29 degrees) will feel the impact of a clash between Mercury (communication, computers, phones and media) and Chiron (audacity, cockiness, punk rock spirit and chutzpah). Jaws will hit the floor. Eyebrows will hit the roof. Computers may well be hurled out of windows by some. Duck!

Aquarius

The horoscope houses which rules opinions, beliefs, ideas – and your words – are both crossed by your ruler Uranus and Saturn this week. You are bound to lean towards the idea of freedom, change, progress and truth; these are very Aquarian notions. Less easy is the idea of being cautious, fearful and slowing down. If you are too radical though, you may find that every revolution meets a brick wall eventually. And you need to  be particularly aware of this in relation to the media, computers, telephones, publishing, education, academia and other niches for opinion. Everyone is on a cosmic see-saw this week. You are not alone. But try not to go to extremes, whatever needs to be said.

Pisces

There appears to be a domino effect taking place right around the world now and both the money centres of New York and the internet itself is affected. You may feel the direct impact of this on your financial, property or business situation – or you may be the last domino in the pile. All Pisceans must now abandon any idea of wistful thinking, escape routes or fond imagining though. And denial is not a river in Egypt. In time, it will be easier to snap up opportunities, expand and experiment. The freedom which is rapidly becoming so important to you will be there. At the moment, though, you must address your fears. Pretend you are a faux Virgo. Make a list and plough through it.

Aries

Saturn in Libra brings naked, quivering fear about issues which directly impact your marriage, your partnership, the relationship with your former partner – or your dealings with a potential partner. It may even push your buttons with enemies, rivals or opponents. The creative challenge you face this week is to find a way to quickly build a system in your life that protects you. It may be a particular way of thinking about the problem, or a specific way of taking action, but it must work psychologically, as well as on a practical level. Those who have been there before you will be excellent sources of advice. Another new challenge? Your reputation or appearance. How will change work?

Taurus

Work, health, university life or housework are new areas of concern. Every Taurean has a different lifestyle, but everyone born in late April or May must now deal with the realities of day-to-day existence. People deal with difficult facts in a variety of classic ways; they freeze, they bury their heads in their sands or they run away. You are a bull, though – not a rabbit, nor an ostrich, nor a frightened mouse. So it’s time to put your head down, plant your feet on the ground and plough through the biggest challenges in 29 years. You need money, or vegetables in the garden. You know that. So the rest is just a matter of planning and persistence. And Taureans are particularly good at that.

Gemini

How do you pursue change with (or from) particular friends or groups when there are so many other factors in the way? That’s the challenge this week. Freedom is likely to be a major concern for you, the group or your friend. However, you must jump through a number of hoops right now, and this may not be the best week out of all 52 to insist on a radical way forward – or to react too strongly if others push. A far more sensitive, personal issue is your private life, or your feelings about the world of children. New rules are required. It is very important that you find a course of action that you can live with, though. And your immediate concern – emotional security – must be addressed.

Cancer

If you were born on the first or second day of Cancer, what unfolds this week is personal, and life-changing. In all cases, though, it’s time to manage your lifestyle in a remarkably different way. First of all, there are new concerns about freedom, independence and change. These mostly revolve around your career or other role. There has to be a way forward, and a way through, but how? One thing is certain. It won’t happen quickly or easily if there is too much fire in anyone’s belly. Your other priority now is the family, the house, the flat or the household. Perhaps even your homeland, if that matters a great deal. Measures must be taken to protect yourself, long-term.

Leo

So much for the brave new world of possibility. You are already finding obstacles to your ideas about travelling more widely, educating yourself more ambitiously, teaching or studying at a higher level – or publishing in new ways. If your freedom matters, though, you will stay the course and be prepared to change that course if necessary. It will be a great deal easier to do this once the final week of July (one of the year’s most difficult) is out of the way. The next few days also see new challenges which affect your ability to communicate and connect. These won’t vanish overnight. Thus, you will need to develop a set-up which covers all eventualities. Preferably with sound advice.

Virgo

This week finds you at a financial, business or property crossroads. Together with Pisces you are among the most affected signs, and perhaps changes at the New York Stock Exchange or on the web will also filter down to you. No matter. You must count the beans, do the sums, knuckle down and be a realist. Eventually you will be free to snap up opportunities and pioneer inventive new ways to earn, own or owe. At the moment this is impossible. Far better, perhaps, to begin with a new way of life that makes you feel less vulnerable and more certain. This will take a huge amount of work, but you are an earth sign, and take pride in making things happen. Step by step you will succeed.

Libra

If you were born in the first day or two of Libra then you will be personally affected by this week’s historic star patterns. All Librans must deal with the sea-change now taking place in their house of partners, opponents, former partners, rivals, potential partners and enemies though. One man or woman will be your sole focus of attention. There is no point in projecting too much onto their particular personality, though. The real issue is in your commitment to freedom. If you genuinely want a way of life that is authentic, honest and forward-thinking then you will stay the course. It is an obstacle course right now – but it will become easier. On no account let anger influence any of the decisions.

Scorpio

If a sensitive subject becomes a secret burden this week, then write it down to help you set it in context. On paper, it may assume correct proportions. In your head, it may remain bigger and more worrying than it needs to be. For most Scorpios, though, this week is about entirely new challenges affecting work, housework, volunteer work, life at university or the daily routine. You have seen opportunities and possibilities lately, and quite naturally been tempted by the idea of having more freedom, independence and opportunity. Nothing is straightforward at the moment, though, and you may have to take a zig-zag path this week. Neither rush nor push, nor respond to any pressure.

Sagittarius

There are various things you can do to be proactive about new concerns involving friends or groups. Setting yourself a personal challenge is one of them, but it has to be something you can live with. Dumping people or situations which are immediately (and obviously) doomed may be another choice. On no account deny what is happening, though, or assume everything will resolve itself automatically. One way or another, you must work at this. On a more personal note, your heart and soul will be powerfully affected by the clash between Uranus and Saturn. Your own or other people’s children may be involved – or a basic intimacy question. Change must happen at a sane pace.

Capricorn

If you were born in the first day or two of your sign, your personal horoscope will be affected now – you have life-changing choices ahead. All Capricorns will feel this week’s planetary clash though. The question is almost impossible to answer: how can you break free and do something completely radical, while honouring your very worst fears ? One way through might be to find the middle way. If you are too revolutionary, or too conservative, nothing will work. But there may be a creative compromise. Your career, your calling in life, your house, your family, your household or your flat will be at the centre of what takes place. Give this time. Time will help you. There is another way.
